The house is deeply connected to the city’s history. Built from distinctive black volcanic stone, Agde is known as the “Black Pearl of the Mediterranean.” Original features have been preserved throughout the interior, including solid basalt stairs, irregularly shaped windows, and warm orange floor tiles. These blend beautifully with stylish furnishings, creating a harmonious mix of modern design and retro-Mediterranean character.
Agde truly comes alive in summer, with a lively calendar of outdoor concerts, festivals, markets, cultural events, and evening entertainment. The Hérault riverfront becomes a vibrant meeting place, while the historic centre fills with music, food, and local traditions. From summer evenings by the water to bustling markets and seasonal festivities, there is always something happening nearby. Concerts along the promenade and on the floating stage on the Hérault River are just a two-minute walk from the house, making it easy to enjoy Agde’s vibrant summer atmosphere.
Agde’s beautiful Mediterranean beaches are just a 10-minute drive from the house, making it easy to enjoy the sea whenever you wish. From lively seaside spots to quieter stretches of golden sand, there is a beach to suit every mood.
Occitanie is one of France’s great wine regions, home to around 24,000 wine-growing estates. From elegant rosés to rich reds and crisp whites, its vineyards offer endless opportunities to discover the flavours and traditions of southern France.
